Booking and Payment

To secure your spot in one of our painting classes, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total class fee is required at the time of booking.

​

The remaining balance must be paid through the reminder email using Internet Banking and PAY ID, or at the time of the session using PAY ID or cash.

​

The link to PAY ID is sent in the Reminder Email one day prior to class date.

​

 

​

Class Minimums

Each class needs a minimum of 6 Painters to go ahead

​

If Class minimums are not met within 72 hours of the Class date - Class will be cancelled, rescheduled where possible via mutual agreement with Painters, or Full Refund issued if no replacement is able to be identified.

 

​

​

Non-Refundable Deposit

Please note that the 50% deposit is non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

​

This deposit ensures your place in the class and covers administrative costs, venue hire and materials.

​

If you need to cancel your booking, the deposit will not be refunded.

​​

​

​

Full Payment​

Once your deposit is received, you will receive confirmation of your booking.

 

Full payment for the class is required prior to the start date of the class.

 

Failure to pay the balance in full by the due date may result in the cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of the deposit.

 

​

​

Cancellations and Refunds

If you cancel your booking more than 7 days before the class starts, you will be refunded the balance of your class fee, minus the 50% non-refundable deposit.

 

If you cancel within 24 hours of the class start date, including no shows, no refunds will be issued, and the full class fee will be forfeited.

 

In the event that the class is cancelled by the instructor due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, weather conditions), a full refund, including the deposit, will be issued or you will have the option to reschedule your booking.

Transfers

If you are unable to attend a booked class, you may request to transfer to a different session, subject to availability.

 

A transfer request must be made at least 7 days before the class start date.

 

If no suitable alternatives can be arranged by mutual agreement, a refund, excluding the 50% deposit, will be issued.

No Shows

If you fail to attend a class without prior notice or cancellation, you will forfeit both the deposit and any outstanding class fees.

 

No refund or rescheduling will be offered in such cases.

 

​

​

Class Conduct

Participants are expected to respect the class environment and follow all instructions provided by the instructor.

 

Inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the class, without a refund.

 

​

​

Liability

By attending the painting class, you agree to take responsibility for your personal belongings and safety.

 

The instructor and venue are not liable for any personal injuries or accidents during the class.

​

Dearest Sally Snowdrop is covered by Public and Product Liability Insurance.

  • Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

  • If you are unable to attend due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate you within reason.

General Safety Responsibilities

Our staff and instructors are responsible for ensuring a safe environment for all participants.

​

They will:

  • Provide clear instructions regarding the safe use of materials and equipment.

  • Ensure the venue complies with health and safety standards.

  • Address any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

  • Participants also share responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.

​

By attending our classes, participants agree to comply with all safety instructions and behave in a manner that does not compromise the health or safety of themselves or others.

Venue Safety

The venue that we use, The Shop of Little Shops – 19 Treloar Lane, Pakenham, Vic, 3810, has their own health and safety measures.

​

Dearest Sally Snowdrop implements the following safety measures:

  • Working with The Shop of Little Shops to ensure emergency exits and evacuation procedures are known and communicated to Painters attending our “Paint Your Pet” guided painting classes.

  • First Aid: A fully stocked first aid kit is available on-site

  • Cleanliness: The venue is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.

  • All surfaces are cleaned before and after each class, and waste is disposed of in a safe manner.

Materials and Equipment

We use art materials that are safe and appropriate for the “Paint Your Pet” class, including:

  • Non-toxic paints and supplies – when used under normal use as per manufacturer information

  • Safe brushes and tools for painting

  • Easels and canvas that are inspected for safety

  • We will provide all necessary materials for the class, and participants are instructed on how to handle them safely

  • If participants wish to bring their own materials, they are advised to consult with the instructor beforehand to ensure the safety of the materials being used.

Allergies and Health Concerns

If you have any allergies or health concerns (e.g., sensitivity to certain paints or chemicals, respiratory issues), we ask that you inform us at the time of booking or upon arrival.

​

This will allow us to make any necessary accommodations to ensure your safety, such as providing alternative materials or ensuring proper ventilation.

​

If you are pregnant or have any medical conditions that may be affected by the class environment (e.g., standing for extended periods, handling certain materials), we recommend consulting your doctor before attending.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)While most materials used in the class are non-toxic, we recommend participants wear old clothing or an apron to protect against paint splashes.

We provide protective coverings to participants; however, participants are welcome to bring their own protective clothing if preferred.

Emergency Procedures

In the event of an emergency, we will:

  • Follow the venue's evacuation procedures, which will be communicated to participants at the start of each class

  • Ensure that all participants are aware of the location of emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.

If any participant experiences an injury or health issue during the class, we encourage them to report it immediately to the instructor or staff.

In light of ongoing public health concerns, we follow all relevant Australian government guidelines and state-specific regulations regarding COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.

  • Disinfecting surfaces and equipment regularly.

  • Requesting that participants who are feeling unwell or displaying symptoms of illness stay at home.

Participant Responsibilities

  • Report any accidents or injuries immediately to the instructor or staff.

Liability Waiver

Acknowledgment of Risk

It is unlikely that the actions engaged in or performed in our "Paint Your Pet" Guided Painting Class with cause risk to any participant due to the nature of the activity.

By booking a class, you confirm that you acknowledge and understand that participation in the "Paint Your Pet" Guided Painting Class can involve certain inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury ie: using tools incorrectly

damage to personal property ie: clothing, or potential exposure to materials that are considered non-toxic when used correctly in accordance to manufacturer’s instructions

 

You accept full responsibility for your actions and any potential risks that may be present and associated with attending and participating in the class.

Personal Health and Safety

You confirm that you are in good health and capable of participating in the class.

​

If you have any medical conditions or concerns that could affect your participation, you will inform the Dearest Sally Snowdrop prior to attending.

​

You understand that it is your responsibility to inform Dearest Sally Snowdrop of any medical conditions, allergies, or restrictions that may affect your safety.

 

​

​

Property Damage

You agree to take reasonable care in handling any provided materials and equipment during the class.

​

You accept responsibility for any damage you cause to the venue, equipment, or materials and agree to reimburse the Dearest Sally Snowdrop or the Venue for the cost of repair or replacement.

 

​

​

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you, the Participant, agreeing to these terms and conditions by confirming your booking, hereby release, waive, and discharge the Dearest Sally Snowdrop, the Venue its officers, employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability for injuries, damages, or losses arising from my participation in the "Paint Your Pet" Guided Painting Class, whether caused by negligence, default, or otherwise.  

 

This waiver includes, but is not limited to, personal injury, property damage, or any unforeseen incidents.

Compliance with Instructions

You agree to follow all instructions provided by Dearest Sally Snowdrop or the Venue during the class to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

​

You understand that failure to follow instructions may result in your removal from the class without a refund.

 

​

​

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dearest Sally Snowdrop or the Venue from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your actions, omissions, or participation in the class.

​

Governing Law

This waiver is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia.

​

Any disputes arising from this waiver will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

 

​

​

Severability

If any provision of this waiver is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Alcohol Policy

​

Alcohol Consumption Guidelines

Alcohol consumption during the "Paint Your Pet" Guided Painting Class is subject to the alcohol policy of the venue hosting the event.

​

Dearest Sally Snowdrop does not serve, provide, or distribute alcohol to participants.

​

Any alcohol consumption is solely the responsibility of the venue and is governed by the venue’s specific regulations and licensing requirements.

 

​

​

Venue Alcohol Policy

Participants must comply with the alcohol policy of the venue, including restrictions on the type of alcohol allowed, consumption limits, and any requirements regarding identification for age verification.

​

​

Where the Venue’s alcohol policy allows the consumption of alcohol during our "Paint Your Pet" Guided Painting Class, alcohol can only be consumed by participants who are of legal drinking age in the state or territory in which the class is held.

 

​

Responsible Alcohol Consumption

Participants are encouraged to consume alcohol responsibly.

​

If alcohol is permitted at the venue, participants are reminded to drink in moderation, ensuring they maintain a safe and respectful environment for themselves and others.

​

​

​

Intoxication and Removal from the Class

Dearest Sally Snowdrop and the venue reserve the right to refuse participation in our "Paint Your Pet" Guided Painting Class to any participant who appears to be intoxicated in a manner that is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or in violation of the venue's alcohol policies.

​

Participants who are intoxicated may be asked to leave the class without a refund, in accordance with the venue’s policies and Australian alcohol service regulations.

 

​

​

Compliance with the Law

Participants must adhere to all Australian laws relating to alcohol consumption, including but not limited to regulations around the legal drinking age, intoxication, and public behaviour.

​

Any participant found violating these laws will be removed from the class, and the Dearest Sally Snowdrop and the venue will not be responsible for any legal consequences that result.

Alcohol and Safety

Participants are reminded that alcohol may impair judgment, motor skills, and coordination, and they are expected to act safely during the class.

​

Dearest Sally Snowdrop and the venue do not accept any responsibility for any accidents or injuries that result from alcohol consumption.

​

Alcohol and Public Safety

Dearest Sally Snowdrop and the venue have the right to inform authorities if any participant is found to be engaging in illegal activities related to alcohol consumption, such as excessive intoxication, underage drinking, or disruptive behaviour.

No Alcohol Provided by the Dearest Sally Snowdrop or the venue Please note that alcohol will not be served, provided, or sold by Dearest Sally Snowdrop or the venue.

​

Any alcohol consumed during the class must be consumed in the venue in accordance with their alcohol policy.

 

​

Liability

Dearest Sally Snowdrop or the venue takes no responsibility for the actions of participants in relation to alcohol consumption.

​

Participants acknowledge and agree that they are solely responsible for their actions while consuming alcohol and while attending the class.

​

By participating in the "Paint Your Pet" Guided Painting Class, you agree to comply with the venue's alcohol policy and all applicable laws and regulations.

​

For any questions about the alcohol policy, please contact the organiser prior to attending the event.

Food Safety and Liability

​

Overview

The "Paint Your Pet" Guided Painting Class, hosted by Dearest Sally Snowdrop, is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.

 

The class itself does not provide food or beverages.

​

All food and drinks brought to the class are the responsibility of the participants.

​

By attending, participants agree to comply with the guidelines outlined in this policy and accept full responsibility for their own food safety.

No Food or Drink Provided by Dearest Sally Snowdrop or the Venue

​

Dearest Sally Snowdrop and the venue hosting the class do not provide or serve any food or drink during the class.  

​

Participants are welcome to bring their own food and beverages for personal consumption, but it is their responsibility to ensure that the food and beverages are safely prepared, stored, and consumed in accordance with food safety guidelines.

​

Food Safety Responsibility of Participants

It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure that the food and beverages they bring to the class meet all relevant food safety requirements.

​

Participants should:

  • Ensure that any food is properly stored and maintained at safe temperatures (e.g., chilled, hot, or consumed immediately).

  • Use clean utensils, containers, and surfaces when preparing or handling food.

  • Be aware of and avoid food allergens where relevant.

  • Participants must notify the Dearest Sally Snowdrop and the venue if they have any food allergies or intolerances to help others avoid cross-contamination.

  • Follow personal hygiene best practices when handling food, including regular hand washing, especially before eating.

Health and Safety of Participants

The health and safety of the participants are their own responsibility.

Dearest Sally Snowdrop or the venue do not take any responsibility for any health issues arising from food or beverages brought to the class, including foodborne illnesses or allergic reactions.

Participants are encouraged to follow all relevant health and food safety measures, including:

  • Bringing only food that has been prepared and stored in accordance with food safety standards.

  • Ensuring that any food items are safely sealed and transported.

No Liability for Foodborne Illness or Reactions

Dearest Sally Snowdrop and the venue hosting the class are not liable for any foodborne illnesses, allergic reactions, or any other adverse health effects that may arise from the food or beverages brought by participants.

 

By attending the class, participants accept responsibility for the food and drink they bring and consume.

Participants are encouraged to disclose any known food allergies or dietary restrictions before the class.

However, it is the responsibility of the individual participant to manage their allergies or dietary needs, including avoiding any food or drink that may cause an adverse reaction.

No Responsibility for Mismanagement of Food Safety

Dearest Sally Snowdrop and the venue will not take responsibility for any incidents resulting from participants failing to adhere to food safety measures, including improper storage, handling, or consumption of food.

 

Any participant who fails to follow food safety guidelines and causes an issue may be asked to leave the class without a refund.

By booking and attending the "Paint Your Pet" Guided Painting Class, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for the food and beverages you bring, including adhering to food safety standards and managing your health and safety during the class.

Marketing Communications/Photos etc

You grant permission to Dearest Sally Snowdrop or the Venue to photograph, record, or capture your image, likeness, or voice during the class and to use these materials for promotional, marketing, or educational purposes without compensation or further approval.

Changes to Terms + Conditions

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

​

All changes will be communicated to participants in advance of their booking.

​

By booking a class, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all of these terms and conditions outlined above.
